SPINNING OSIS
4 adds (body, body, cross-body, delay)
A spin into the Osis. To execute a
right Spinning Osis, try setting from a right Outside Kick. Spot
the footbag on its way up, then spin away (to the left) all the way around
into an Osis with the right foot. Try to make your set go straight
up and down, and try to spin in place.
SPINNING BUTTERFLY KICK
4 adds (body, dexterity, body, cross-body)
Spin into a Butterfly Kick.
PARADOX WHIRL
4 adds (paradox, dexterity, delay, cross-body)
A Whirl in which the dexterity foot is also
the setting foot; i.e., the set is from the clipper delay of the whirling
foot, and the final delay is made with the original plant foot (on the
opposite site from the set). To execute a right Paradox Whirl, set with
a left-foot Clipper set (i.e., on the right side of your body) and pivot
sharply to your right, executing a Whirl dexterity motion (front-to-back)
with your left leg, ending on a right-foot Clipper delay (on your left
side).
SYMPOSIUM WHIRL
4 adds (dexterity, dexterity, cross-body,
delay)
Like a Whirl, except the setting foot does
not touch down as the support leg circles the footbag and lands to support
a cross-body delay by the setting foot.
DOUBLE-OVER DOWN
4 adds (dexterity, dexterity, cross body,
delay)
A double-Butterfly from a toe set.
To execute a right Double-Over Down, set the footbag with your left toe,
and, without planting your left leg, circle the bag once (outside-in dexterity)
and then do a Butterfly stall (i.e., a second outside-in dexterity with
your left leg, catching in a right-foot Clipper stall). The effect
is a double-dexterity motion in the outside-in direction to a clipper delay
with the original support foot. NOTE: This move is the same as Down-Double
Down, Paradon, and Barfly,
described below, except for the set.
All these moves may also be referred to
as "Double-Over Down", and the judging system currently considers them
to be identical. (Remember, a move is
not different just because the set is
different, unless the set actually changes the way the move is done in
terms of any of the add categories.)
DOWN-DOUBLE DOWN
4 adds (dexterity, dexterity, cross body,
delay)
A Double-Over Down, set from a Clipper on
the same side as the final delay.
In other words, to execute a right Down-Double Down, set with a right
Clipper delay (on the left side) into a double
outside-in dexterity (double-Butterfly
motion) with the left leg, and stall in a right-foot Clipper
delay (on the left side).
BARFLY
4 adds (dexterity, dexterity, cross-body,
delay)
A Double-Over Down, set from a Clipper on
the opposite side as the final delay.
This looks a lot like an Infinity (Clipper set to Butterfly on the
opposite side), with a double dexterity.
PARADON
4 adds (dexterity, dexterity, cross body,
delay)
A Double-Over Down, set from the opposite
toe.
TORQUE
4 adds (dexterity, body, cross-body, delay)
A Miraging Osis. To execute a right Torque,
set from a right Clipper delay, immediately
plant the right foot, and push off the right foot while executing
an inside-out (Mirage) dexterity with the left leg, spinning in-place
to your left. As you land on the left leg, catch the footbag in
the Osis position (spinning cross-body) ending
with a right Clipper delay.
FLURRY
4 adds (dexterity, dexterity, dexterity,
delay)
A Barraging Switch-Over. To execute
a right Flurry, set from a right-foot Clipper,
quickly plant the right leg, execute an inside-out double dexterity
(Barrage motion) with the left leg, then quickly plant the left
leg, delaying the footbag on the right toe after
an outside-in dexterity (Switch-Over/Leg-Over
motion) with the right leg. This is one of the harder
4-add moves.
HOP-OVER SWIRL
4 adds (dexterity, dexterity, delay, cross-body)
A Hop-Over to cross-body Around-the-World.
From an inside delay, the support leg
jumps over the footbag as the other foot completes a swirl motion (ending
in a clipper
delay). This move was originally called "Swirl", but that name has
since come
to mean the basic cross-body dexterity (see above).
DRAGON OSIS
4 adds (cross body, delay, dexterity, body)
From a Clipper set, circle the footbag from
back, up and over the footbag (Swirl
motion) while twisting your ankle into a cross body outside stall
(Dragon).
BLUR
4 adds (dexterity, body, dexterity, delay)
A Miraging Paradox Mirage. To execute
a right Blur, start with a left-foot Clipper
Delay set. Immediately plant the left foot, attempting to shoot
the footbag up between your legs, while planting
your right foot to the right of the footbag.
Then, immediately execute a Paradox-Mirage motion (pivot
to the right, then perform an inside-out dexterity with your left
leg), ending in a right Toe Stall. You
can look at this move as a left-foot
Clipper set, followed by a right-leg inside-out dexterity, followed
by a left-leg inside-out dexterity, followed by a right Toe Delay.
It's basically a combination of left and right Mirages from a Clipper,
but the second Mirage is necessarily
"Paradox" because the set is on the
opposite side of the body for the normal
Mirage for that leg, requiring a pivot
(hence the "body" add).
BLIZZARD
4 adds (dexterity, body, dexterity, delay)
A Miraging Paradox Reverse-Mirage.
Exactly like a Blur, except that the second
dexterity is outside-in. To execute a right Blizzard, set from a
left-foot Clipper delay, do an inside-out dexterity
with your right leg, then immediately
do an outside-in dexterity with your left leg, stalling the
footbag on your right toe. To achieve the second (outside-in)
dexterity, you will need to pivot to your right
(hence the "Paradox" component, accounting
for the body add). Some people actually find this move
slightly easier than Blur because they think of it as a Double-Leg-Over
from Clipper, bail to opposite Toe Stall.
DA DA CURVE
4 adds (dexterity, dexterity, cross-body,
delay)
Like a Double Leg-Over from clipper, except
that it ends in a clipper on the other
side. This is also a lot like Ripwalk, except for the footwork.
(See Ripwalk.) To execute a right Da
Da Curve, set from a left clipper delay, slightly
in front of you and towards your left side. Quickly plant the
setting leg, and execute an inside-out dexterity
with your right leg, followed immediately
by an outside-in dexterity with your left leg, landing on
your left leg and stalling the footbag with your right clipper delay.
Note that the footbag should appear to travel
behind and under your legs, but still
in front of you so that both legs truly go *over* the bag.
RIPWALK
4 adds (dexterity, dexterity, cross-body,
delay)
A planting Da Da Curve. To execute
a right Rip Walk, start with a left clipper
delay set, just as for Da Da Curve. Very quickly, plant your left
foot, then plant your right foot over the bag
(i.e., inside-out fast dexterity with
right leg), then lift your left leg and swing it to the right over
the bag (like a right Butterfly) and end in a right clipper delay.
You can think of this as a Mirage-to-Butterfly. The quick set and plant
at the beginning is a key component of
Blur and other similar moves.
WHIRLING SWIRL
4 adds (dexterity, dexterity, cross-body,
delay)
A Whirl followed immediately by a Swirl
Stall with the other leg. To execute a
right Whirling Swirl, set with a right clipper delay, immediately plant
the setting foot, do a Whirl dexterity
(front-to-back) with your left foot, then catch
the footbag with your right Swirl (cross-body back-to-front dexterity,
ending in a right clipper delay).
BLENDER
4 adds (dexterity, body, cross-body, delay)
A Whirling Osis. To execute a right
Blender, set the footbag with your left clipper
set, then immediately plant your left leg, execute a Whirl motion
(front-to-back dexterity) with your right leg,
then pivot sharply to your left (still
standing on your left leg), stalling the footbag with a right Osis
(i.e., ending in a cross body delay after the pivot).
REVERSE BLENDER
4 adds (dexterity, body, cross-body, delay)
A Swirling Osis. Similar to the Blender
except that the dexterity is back-to-front.
(This move doesn't require going as far around the bag, or pivoting
as sharply, so it's usually not as difficult as Blender, even though
it has the same add value.)
